How we care for what you share.

Last updated October 12, 2026

Lily & Ember is a small studio, and we treat your information the way we'd want ours treated: with care, and only for the reason you shared it. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you write to us. If you use the form on our Let's Connect page, we receive your name, email address, and message. If you choose to share your organization's name or what you'd like help with, we receive that too. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you send.

When we work together. If we move forward as partners, we also keep the details we need to do the work and send invoices, such as contact information, billing details, and the files and materials you share with us.

When you visit the site. We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use these to keep the site secure and running well.

How we use it

  • To reply to your message and schedule a conversation.
  • To do the work we've agreed to, and to invoice and communicate with you about it.
  • To keep our website secure and to meet our legal and tax obligations.

We don't send marketing newsletters unless you ask us to. We don't sell your information, rent it, or trade it.

Who else can see it

A few trusted tools help us run the studio, including the service that delivers your form message to our inbox, our email and calendar tools, document storage, invoicing and payment tools, and the host of this website. They handle your information only to provide those services, under their own privacy terms. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as it takes to reply, and for a reasonable time afterward in case we talk again. Client records stay as long as the work, our tax and accounting duties, and any legal requirements call for. If you'd like us to delete something sooner, just ask. A few records we're required to keep, and we'll tell you if that applies.

Your choices and rights

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, to ask for a copy, to ask us to correct it or delete it, and to be treated the same whether or not you use these rights. Because we don't sell or share personal information, there's nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, we'll tell you first and give you a way to opt out.

To make a request, email hello@lilyandember.com with the subject "Privacy request." We may need to confirm it's really you, and we'll respond within 45 days. We're glad to honor the same requests from people outside California.

Do Not Track

We don't track you across other websites, so there's nothing for us to change when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Links to other sites

Our site links to other places, such as our LinkedIn page. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to read them.

Children

Our services are for businesses and organizations, and this site isn't directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable safeguards to protect what you share. No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security, but we take it seriously.

If this policy changes

When we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your information in a meaningful way, we'll let you know directly.

Questions

We're happy to talk through any of this. Write to us at hello@lilyandember.com.
